Bill Gramatica is a former NFL kicker who played for the Arizona Cardinals and the Miami Dolphins. He was born on November 2, 1978 in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Gramatica attended college at the University of South Florida, where he played football for the USF Bulls.
Gramatica was drafted by the Cardinals in the third round of the 2001 NFL Draft and played for the team from 2001 to 2003. He then spent one season with the Dolphins in 2004 before retiring from professional football.
Gramatica is perhaps best known for a memorable moment during a game in 2001 when he tore his ACL while celebrating a made field goal by jumping in the air. The injury cost him the rest of the season.
After retiring from the NFL, Gramatica went on to become an orthopedic surgeon. He is also involved in charitable work in his native Argentina, helping to improve access to medical care for children in need.
